Shield
Psalm 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
We all face different types of problems in our daily lives. We need to find ways to meet all our needs and even in times of danger. David found his shield and the courage to lift his head high in God. God will povide even in times of catastrophes. Here David was running for his life from his own son Absalom who wanted to kill him. David could have easily slipped into despair at a time like this.
When a catastrophe happens like 911 or Tsunami or Hurricane Katrina do you think God has abandoned you? David found protection from danger and comfort from trouble in God's presence.
