Our Crosses

When St. Peter objected to Christ foretelling his suffering and death in the hands of evil men, Christ rebuked Satan saying, "get behind me!". Often we don't want to make any sacrifices in our Christian walk, but look to enjoy plentiful blessings. Christ was saying we all have our crosses to bear. Let us do so with hearts of thanks and praise.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
