Meek of the earth

Zephaniah, a prophet, lived at a time when a great reformation came about under King Josiah in early part of his reign. He warned the people that they would face the wrath of God if they did not change their ways. He begged them to repent and return to humbly walking with God. He urged them to seek righteousness and humility.

Zephaniah 2:3 Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.
