Good Cheer

"The winds are going to blow, it says in the Bible, and we want you to be strong," Massar told the church's children during Sunday services at the packed First Baptist Church. As pastors speak to their congregations from Florida to Louisiana, the people need all the hope they can get. It is when we lose a part of ourselves to a natural disaster we wonder where is God when it hurts? It is so easy to slip into despair.

We all face difficult times in our lives. Christ said that in this world we will face difficulties. But promised to send us the Holy Spirit who will comfort, strengthen and cheer us at times like this. As fellow christians we can instill hope in others by our support and concern through prayers, presence and presents.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

When natural disaster strike us and we suffer can we still accept God is love and care for us.Are natural disasters brought about by God or permitted by God.Why make us suffer and then comfort us.Gods ways are mysterious and not easy to understand.God brings out good out of every situation.
